Vinokus – a philosophy

The name Vinokus consists of the Latin word for wine – vino  - and the initial letters of  the ‘forefathers’ Kuna and Subosics.

It all began with Herfried Kuna’s dream of ‘vinifying’ a perfect Green Veltliner, which he realized together with Florian Subosics in their ‘Vinokus’ project.

Besides the orientation by nature and the sustainable contact with a thousand of years old cultural land it is the outstanding and steady quality of Vinokus that makes it unique amongst the Green Veltliners.

Young, not rushed yet mature, fruity, lively and animating, minerally rich, finely-structured, with harmonious tartness and long-lasting aftertaste – this is Vinokus.
