Vinokus – the new viticulture, Opening 6/6/2009
More than 200 invited guests participated in the opening and inauguration of the new production hall. Using the zero energy building design this hall was predominantly build with natural, carbon dioxide-neutral materials such as wood and straw with short transportation times. The energy for the cooling of the tanks and/or the heating of the building is won by heat exchange with deep wells. The entire enterprise is organically controlled and certified. Besides enjoying culinary delicacies and the new Veltliner creations, each guest had the opportunity to plant their own vine. After the consecration of the hall by the Lengenfeld priest and by wine priest Reverend Denk celebrations lasted long into the night.
